Phelps Engineering in the Community
Implementing projects to provide our communities with basic needs is just one way Phelps Engineering employees recognize their place in this world; however, as a small firm within a small community, we have fostered a philanthropic spirit that places a high value on giving back.
Our employees are quietly contributing to our community through serving on local boards, teaching and coaching at all levels in youth and high school programs, and volunteering time to steward the environment through maintaining hiking trails and monitoring water quality in local streams and rivers.
As a company, we are proud to provide in-kind donations or reduced fee services for some notable local community projects, including:
- Westford Town Library Parking Improvements
- Town Hall Theater Restoration
- Friends of Middlebury Football Eats & Seats Project
- Friends of Middlebury Hockey Memorial Sports Center Building Expansion
- Fucile Recreational Field and Seating Projects
- Addison County Fair and Field Days Water Supply and Wastewater System Improvements
Phelps Engineering also gives back to the professional community by serving on government task forces to advise on implementation of new regulations, visiting local schools to encourage youth to pursue engineering careers, and serving on boards of industry professional societies.
Our firm has worked on several innovative projects and has been acknowledged by our peers for developing award-winning projects.
